World Tour is a graphic-based program which teaches children (or forgetful adults) where countries and bodies of water are located. This month Asia is the featured area. Covering such countries as the USSR, China, India, and Bangladesh, this powerful geography application just might prompt you to call your travel agent.
HOW TO RUN WORLD TOUR
After selecting "run it", a map of the world will be displayed on your screen. MODE determines whether you will be learning or practicing in a particular area.
In the learning mode, you click the mouse on the NAME BOX containing the country or body of water. An "X" will appear in the name box for that country, and the country's name will appear in the correct location on the map. Selecting "name all" will label all the regions.
In the practice mode, you click the NAME BOX of a country with your mouse and then touch the dot on the map representing that country or body of water. If you are correct then the name appears. If wrong, your selection (the X) is erased.
Note: In either mode, you can also click on the dot and then select the name of the country or water.
While you're touring on a particular plate -- remove all, of course, removes all the names. Clicking on "World" will return you to the main global screen. Pull down the menu label FILE to quit the game.
Therefore, select learn or practice then activate an area by clicking on the plate number corresponding to the desired area. Plates 14 and 15 are on this issue. These plates include all of Asia. Enjoy !!!
A PRESENTATION ANOMALY
What? Well, just so you don't lose it or anything, there is a way for World Tour to look nutty. Here's how you make it look nutty. Choose "About..." from the Apple Menu. Then click on the "World" button. Now click on P14. If a map comes up, click on "World" and repeat the process. Eventually, you will confuse World Tour into not loading the map when you click on P14, so you'll get all the buttons and no map! So don't confuse it -- don't choose "About..." after you've read it once.
ONE-DRIVE USERS
When booting on a one-drive system, you will go through the usual myriad disk changes. If you launch World Tour, the program will say, "The maps are not available on this disk." This is true, because at that point, the system disk is still in the drive. So, exchange the system disk for the program disk and click o.k. You're all set to go touring!

COPYING WORLD TOUR
Select "File Copier" from the File menu (or just press Open-Apple-F) to run the copying program. Click on "World Tour" and select the disk you'd like to copy it to.
